Privacy Policy

1. Summary

Code Captain: CPR Log is designed as a local, offline-first app. The app does not require an account, cloud database, analytics service, telemetry service, advertising SDK, or remote API for normal clinical workflow operation.

The developer does not automatically collect, receive, transmit, sell, or share app session records, notes, timers, crash logs, analytics, or patient information.

2. Do not enter PHI

Do not enter Protected Health Information (PHI), patient names, dates of birth, medical record numbers, addresses, phone numbers, or other patient identifiers into the app.

The app is not designed to collect PHI for the developer. Local records may contain whatever a user chooses to enter. Information entered by a user may be stored locally on the device or included in user-controlled exports.

3. Information stored locally

The app may store the following information locally on your device:

• Active and completed code-session records
• Event timelines, notes, rhythms, medications, airway, vascular-access, ROSC, and timer documentation
• Settings, terms acceptance, and app preferences
• Local technical records used for recovery and reliability
• Exports, PDFs, or files that you choose to save or share

4. No automatic transmission

The app does not automatically transmit session records, local technical records, analytics, telemetry, crash logs, or patient information to the developer or a remote service.

If you use operating-system features or other apps to export, print, email, text, back up, save, or share information, that action may send data outside the app. Those user-controlled actions are governed by the receiving app, service, device, or institution.

5. How local data is used

Local information is used on the device to run code-session workflows, maintain timers and events, recover active sessions, generate summaries and exports, and remember settings. The developer does not use this data for analytics, advertising, tracking, profiling, or remote monitoring.

6. Apple and device services

Apple may process information related to App Store downloads, TestFlight, crash diagnostics, device diagnostics, or App Store usage under Apple's policies and device settings. Depending on your settings, device or iCloud backups may include app data.

7. Security

Local storage is not encrypted by Code Captain itself. Information may be readable by someone with access to the unlocked device, operating-system account, app container, browser profile, exported file, or device backup. Use device passcodes, biometric lock, institutional policies, and appropriate physical security.

8. Retention and deletion

Local data remains on the device until it is deleted by you, the app, the operating system, device-management tools, or app uninstall/reset processes. The in-app Delete Local Data function deletes records controlled by the app but cannot delete files previously exported, shared, printed, emailed, texted, saved elsewhere, or included in backups.

9. Children

The app is intended for trained healthcare professionals or authorized clinical users and is not directed to children. The developer does not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated as the app changes. Material changes may be shown in the app and may require renewed acceptance.
